ERA's Director of Environmental Services leads discussion and answers questions about DuPage County’s Countywide Stormwater and Floodplain Ordinance

Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) is hosting a free session for current and prospective clients. ERA's Director of Environmental Services, Bruce Maki, C.F.M., will present "Water Quality Best Management Practices" on Wednesday, September 17 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Fairfield Inn & Suites at 645 W. North Avenue in Lombard. Mr. Maki has over 20 years of water resource management experience including: 18 years with DuPage County’s Stormwater Management Division, and 4 years with ERA. As a Project Manager with DuPage County, Mr. Maki directed the writing of the Technical Guidance for the DuPage County Countywide Stormwater and Floodplain Ordinance.

Effective August 1, 2008, the DuPage County Countywide Stormwater and Floodplain Ordinance and Appendix E-Technical Guidance relating to Best Management Practices (BMPS) will see a number of changes. The changes to the Ordinance will bring the County and the municipalities into compliance with the recommendations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System - Phase II Program. Training on these changes, and how we can effectively help you incorporate BMPs into your development will take place in a 3-hour session.
