ERA Selected to Lead NPDES Phase II program

Illinois Department of Transportation selected ERA for all
State of Illinois projects
WARRENVILLE, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) was selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to help lead their process of conforming to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II program for all State of Illinois highway projects.
ERA's responsibilities include reviewing current policies with regards to construction erosion and sediment practices and procedures, and providing recommendations for improvement. ERA will recommend updates to policies and procedures to the Departmentís Storm Water Committee and incorporate the acceptable changes into the Bureau of Design and Environmental Manual for preparation of State highway improvement engineering plans. Additionally, ERA will develop training presentations and materials. IDOT will use this material to train design and field staff to assure that these new standards are implemented on all IDOT construction sites in accordance with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agencyís ILR10 and ILR40 permits issued to IDOT.
