ERA selected to provide engineering, environmental and landscape architectural services along the Naperville Riverwalk
NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) was selected by the City of Naperville's Riverwalk Commission to provide engineering, environmental and landscape architectural services along the Naperville Riverwalk through April 2010.
Started in 1981 to commemorate the city’s 150th birthday, Naperville’s state and nationally award-winning Riverwalk attracts visitors year round to the downtown area and is considered one of the Midwest’s most beautifully maintained public places. The Riverwalk extends along both sides of the DuPage River through downtown Naperville and features numerous amenities including trails, covered bridges, parks, memorials, an amphitheatre, pavilions and gazebos.
ERA was selected because of its experience on similar trail, streetscape and downtown projects; our knowledge of floodplain and floodway regulations; our in-house engineering, surveying and environmental capabilities; and our close working relationship with our landscape architectural sub-consultant, Gary R. Weber & Associates. Our scope of services will include design and construction services for upgrades, improvements and extensions of the Riverwalk over the next four to six years.
