ERA completed final engineering design for King Drive subdivision, a 22-acre upscale residential development in Homer Glen, Illinois
HOMER GLEN, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) announces completion of final engineering design for King Drive subdivision, a 22-acre upscale residential development in the Village of Homer Glen. Adjacent to Long Run Creek, the project involves impact of existing floodplain areas, requiring compensatory storage design and permitting with FEMA. The project creates six beautifully wooded estate-lots and three proposed wet detention ponds along the creek. Challenging design factors for this project involved preserving the very attractive tree lines around the perimeter of the site and maintaining existing grade for rear-yard septic fields, while at the same time balancing earthwork and creating a new private roadway with a 20-ft elevation change at the entrance. ERA was also consulted by the owner in choosing decorative lampposts and a gated monument for the private development.
